This car was originally a 1971 911T converted to an early narrow bodied S/T specification between 2008 and early 2010 by well-known Northern Ireland Hill Climb competitor Michael Beattie. The 1969 2.2 S engine has also previously been rebuilt with many new parts. The shell was originally LHD but converted to RHD after its import into the UK in the early 1980’s. This rare period shell and associated lightweight construction achieves a weight of approximately 980kgs. The engine was re-commissioned in December 2010 by BS Motorsport and it bench dyno’d at 180.5 BHP and 151 ft lbs of torque (current setup includes triple choke PMO carburettors). Brakes, suspension and fuelling system were also overhauled by BS Motorsport. The car is fitted with a Sachs power clutch, MSD ignition, S callipers and discs, stainless steel heat exchangers, Minilite wheels and OMP roll cage. An extensive file of all bills associated with the conversion is available to review. There is nothing that looks, sounds and drives quite the same as a 2.2 S on carbs. It really is a true delight and with prices in ascension a very collectable bit of Porsche art. For sale on behalf of an existing customer.
